Connecting Hearts Ministry

 Joyful Gathering Spiritual Center supports the Connecting Hearts Ministry through tithing out to various local, national, and international organizations every month. Your generous donations to Joyful Gathering have helped to support the vital work of the following organizations:

  • Together Youth Shelter that is part of the Center for Family Services, Glassboro, NJ (December ‘21)

  • The World Central Kitchen that is feeding many displaced Ukrainians (March “22)

  • Urban Street Angels supporting the needs of homeless youth in San Diego (November ‘22)

  • Volunteers of America Delaware Valley supporting families in need in the Southern NJ and Philadelphia region during the holiday season (December ‘22)

  • Angels Community Outreach assisting disadvantaged children and many others in need of financial assistance (January ‘23)

  • Local Residents - support and assistance in the form of Gift Cards to purchase food, clothing and other necessities (February ‘23)

  • John Karn Ministries - that encompasses various programs including supporting the homeless population in, and around Atlanta, Georgia (March ‘23)

  • USA for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency that provides humanitarian care and long term solutions for refugees around the world. (April ‘23)

  • Save the Children that works to keep children in the US and around the world healthy, safe and educated; and that is supporting children in crisis in Sudan among other efforts. (May ‘23)

  • Emerson Theological Institute, the educational arm of ANTN whose work uplifts, supports, inspires and empowers its membership, individuals, spiritual communities, and organizations. (June ‘23)

  • On Our Sleeves, supporting children’s mental health through education and research. (July ‘23)

  • We the Village Love Orphanage whose mission is to change the lives of the most impoverished children in Haiti. (August ‘23)

  • Sisterhood Back to School supplying Back to School supplies for local children (September ‘23)

  • ANTN - Affiliated New Thought Network dedicated to connecting the New Thought community through Consciousness & Love (October ‘23)

  • the Maine Community Foundation supporting the Lewiston-Auburn Area Response Fund. (November ‘23)

  • Volunteers of America supporting their holiday season, Adopt-A-Family Program (December ‘23)

  • Martha Creek, a tremendous spiritual leader who supports the growth & development of numerous organizations (including ours) and individuals (January ‘24)

  • The Silent Epidemic, a local organization dedicated to improving the lives of people struggling with substance use disorder and their families. (February “24)

  • The Cherry Hil Food Pantry, an organization that provides food and social services to families in need in our local communities. (March ‘24)

Joyful Gathering’s Connecting Hearts Outreach Program is currently supporting:

The Voorhees Animal Orphanage Initiative - supporting the needs of animals who so generously share their love with us each and everyday. We are collecting items that are on the VAO wishlist found on their website (www.vaonj.org).

 CONNECTING HEARTS MISSION STATEMENT:

Connecting Hearts of Joyful Gathering is a ministry rooted in love, service and joy whose purpose is to support and foster the upliftment and well-being of our greater community at large. This ministry is the Divine Activity of Love in Action anchored in the joy filled service of gratitude and the activity of the Law of Circulation.

 Joyful Gathering Gala Fundraisers have benefited the following organizations in the past.

Other organizations the Community Outreach Program has supported in the past include:

  • The John Brooks Recovery House and Kenny Smith’s Freedom House supporting those recovering from addiction

  • Food Bank of South Jersey supporting those who are food insecure

  • Voorhees Animal Orphanage supporting their animal rescue efforts

  • Image and Attitude (Prep Institute) assisting disadvantaged women entering or reentering the workforce

  • Joseph’s House supporting the homeless in South Jersey

  • Hurricane Harvey restoration

  • The Providence House assisting women & children affected by domestic violence

  • The Angels Community Outreach assisting disadvantaged children through their Back to School, Tushies to Toes and Clothing Closet programs

  • Homelessness in Camden delivering clothing, coats, backpacks, tarps, food, toiletries and various items directly to anyone in need at the Transportation Center in Camden, NJ  

  • The Starting Point of New Jersey program that provides gifts for children during the holiday season
